Suzanne Dumouchel
Carrefour Loisirs 50+ La Prairie

With over 40 years of experience in the community sector, Suzanne Dumouchel now leads Carrefour Loisirs 50+ La Prairie. Her career has included developing early childhood centres (CPEs) in Quebec, working with Indigenous communities, and ultimately dedicating herself to serving the senior population.

Alexandre Laberge
L’estrade

Alexandre Laberge, a graduate in special education, has gained experience working in youth centres, child protection services, and schools before dedicating himself to street outreach at L’Estrade. Hailing from the Roussillon MRC, he values the numerous organizations that address the diverse needs of the community.

Ivelina Nikolova
Fédération régionale des OSBL d’habitation de la Montérégie et de l’Estrie

A graduate in Human Resources Management from UQAM, Ivelina entered the community sector as a newcomer to Quebec and has been actively involved for the past 17 years. Her commitment to the community sector is rooted in values of mutual aid and cooperation, which she views as essential to ensuring access to adequate and affordable housing.

Sandrine Lacoste-Bissonnette
Châteauguay Community Centre

Sandrine grew up in a reality where inclusion and integration of individuals with intellectual disabilities were core to her values. She now applies these values in her role at the Châteauguay Community Centre, working in an environment that allows her to make a meaningful difference in her community and in collaboration with its members.

Marco Monzon
Comité logement Rive-Sud

Social justice is deeply ingrained in the Monzon family’s DNA, who settled in Canada after fleeing Guatemala. Marco later completed studies in Political Science at UQAM. The activist values of the Roussillon community, along with the agility and adaptability of the community sector, led him to his current role as director of the Comité logement Rive-Sud.

Isabelle Dubuc
L’Élan des jeunes

With over 20 years of experience in the community sector, Isabelle returned to this field to channel her creativity, take the time to connect with people, and apply the expertise she developed both in the field and through her university studies.
